Familiar with this "Club"?
#1
Question
While googling CPAP identification labels, I ran across the "CPAP CARE CLUB" of Franklin, TN. It appears to be DME that will work with your insurance company to provide you with periodic shipments of supplies. Given my experiences with another of these outfits, I'm not joining this "club". However, has any one else joined this "club"? And if so, how was it?

I don't know about you but I feel like I can decide for myself when I need more supplies.
I usually keep some kind of back up around just in case I need to wait a few days for something to come in too.
It seems to me that businesses that are eager to send you regular shipments are most likely a bunch of crooks that make a living by over charging insurance companies while making it look legitimate.

Good point, Shastzi. I know some senior citizens who get other med supplies delivered regularly and they like it. They don't have to think about when to order or if they'll run out. I can't talk about the integrity of the companies/services they use but they are happy that they have that option. Maybe for some cpap users, it's the same way - or they don't have to worry about a copay and yearly deductibles so they order away.

I tried one of these services a couple of years ago; they promised that it would not cost me anything as they would bill my insurance company direct and accept the insurance payment as full payment. As it turned out they inflated the cost of each supply item (over what Supplier #1 would have charged me) got partial payment from my insurance company and billed me for the rest. It would have been cheaper for both me and the insurance company if I'd bought the supplies directly from Supplier #1 and received the 75% reimbursement from the insurer.

I'm always interested in looking at other sites, I wasn't really interested in the service as I'm in Australia but thought there Q & A side of sleep apnea could do with some work considering they are supposed to have a Sleep Specialist ready to talk to people, just my thought.
