First Nights of APAP...All Centrals!
#1
First Nights of APAP...All Centrals!
I am on my second night with my New Resmed APAP and use Sleephead to look at my data.

My AHI has decreased from 30.2 on Orig PSG to 3.6 and 75% of those events are Centrals. Just like in the original PSG.

I also was alarmed to notice that on the 2nd night I had 14 minutes of Cheyne Stokes...continuous. (CSR was observed on my orig PSG also).

How serious is this matter/ Should I call the doctor now or wait for more date...this is only my second night.
Began APAP 11/28/17

How do you feel? And when are you scheduled to see the doc?

I feel tired...the same as I have felt for the last year. I will take a cap in the afternoon. I have mild headaches all the time.
I am scheduled to see the Doc on Jan 13, 2018.

Allessio,
Welcome to Apnea Board. Being your just on your second night of using the new AirSense I wouldn't over react to some Clear Airway events. Your AHI is good for the second night of use.

You might want to post your SleepyHead charts here so others can give accurate advice.

The links below will guide you on posting here. Good luck with the new machine.

Welcome

You can leave a space in the address. example HTT P:// That will allow people to post it in their wed browser and fix the address and see your results. After you have 4 posts and it says just member by your name you won't have to do that anymore.

After looking at your chart I don't see anything to get worried about. I think you just need time for your body to adjust to the machine.

The CSR is called periodic breathing on the Dreamstations. I had them for a while first starting off. As long as it's not a long period of time
it's nothing to be concerned about. Yours is a short period.

Whew....that is a relief...if I continue to have these, what period in minutes would you suggest may be of concerr\\n? When should I worry?
(The period in the chart is about 14 minutes).
