RE: First Time Oscar
Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on your awesome numbers.  It is not often we see a home run on the initial post.

Your flow limits are what is causing your pressure to drift.  I suggest setting EPR = 2, full time to manage those.

You have posted all the charts, which is fine but we only need a handful of them.  See the Organize link in my signature for details.

Your leak chart show mask leaks and some mouth breathing.  Please review the Mask Primer (in my signature) for mask fit, work on that, masks are often too tight which distorts the seal on the mask causing mask leaks.

You can, in OSCAR click View / Reset Charts / Standard to set the order then F12 to take the screenshot.

And very important, How do you feel?  And be critical.

RE: First Time Oscar
Well on the second day I did not felt too good, watery eyes and a bit congested.  It seems that the first day was awesome.  It feels like the first day had a lot of leaking but no leak on the second day.

I assume I need to the advanced mode and set the EPR to 2.

I have a Philips Dreamware nasal mask and it felt comfortable.  As I am new to all of this I am trying to identify what would be a good mask for me.  How do you know If I am breathing from my mouth?

Day 4 Oscar Update
Last night it was a better night that the night before. Realized that I need to make sure to add the water to the ResMed machine.

Here are my screen captures from Oscar

Question.  The setting for Ramp is set to Off?  What does this means?

ericmsilver,
I have merged this thread with your original therapy thread.  We prefer that you keep your therapy data questions to the same thread.  This way, folk don't have to go searching for previous threads to see what has been advised so far.

You have really good results, but to answer your question, Flow Limitations will cause the pressure to rise.  Look at the graph with the FL, and line it up with the pressure graph.  Easy to spot.

You could switch to EPR 3, which may clean FL up a little, and also move your minimum pressure up a little, maybe to 7cm to compensate.

I would also leave the ramp setting where it is (off), as you don't need it when using lower pressures.

Good luck... again, great results.

Ramp is labeled as a comfort feature that lowers starting pressure for a programmed time and possibly has a pressure setting that can be adjusted. The problem is this prevents the machine from acting on apnea events until that timer expires. Also that lowered pressure is almost certainly too low to be in your needed therapy range.

You can set the starting ramp pressure up to the lowest pressure setting in your pressure range while in Auto mode. I haven't played with the ramp feature while in a static pressure configuration.

RE: First Time Oscar [plus updates]
Well, I will switch the EPR to 3 tonight and see what will happen.

Overall I am pretty happy with the result.  Is it common to have 0 event in a night.  During my sleep study at home the doctor says I was moderate to high with an AHI of 20 to 30.

I am just surprised that it completely disappeared after the second day?

I assume that once this is all setup properly changes will be rare?
