Might be sample bias.  Those who have good DME's and good results right away may be less likely to come here.

Hi elitheelephant, WELCOME! to the forum.!
While it is true, many people do have horrible experiences, both with their DME and with getting used to their mask and machine, but that doesn’t mean that you will, everybody is different.
Just stick with it, take it a step at a time, keep checking back here, and you’ll get there.
Good luck to you on your CPAP journey and hang in there for more responses to your post.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I adjusted the pressure as suggested (8-16) and have had a couple of good nights.

I will post more updates as I go!

Am really glad this community exists to help people get knowledge that would normally be hidden behind a wall of obfuscation.
