FlashAir SD Card, stopped broadcasting

FlashAir SD Card, stopped broadcasting
Hey there,

Although the SD card is hardware, this seems to be the appropriate forum. I have had 2 Flashair W-03 cards set up, working properly and then stop broadcasting. One after a week or so, the other after a few months. Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Steve

RE: FlashAir SD Card, stopped broadcasting

  1. You could have experienced a power interruption at your wireless access point.  This will break the communication link to the FlashAir.  In this case just remove it from your CPAP and then reinsert it to reestablish the link.

  2. This can happen if you use DHCP for the FlashAir's IP instead of assigning a static address to the card.  Using DHCP to issue an address could allow another device to be assigned the one that you used to setup the FlashAir. Then when the FlashAir is initialized,  it gets different address.

  3. Or, all of the above.

RE: FlashAir SD Card, stopped broadcasting
Well Mr. Nape, I thank you very much. I haven't used the wireless part of the flashair for ½ year, but it's working again. I managed to assign an address eventually and didn't even realize it because it doesn't really show up all the time on the router connections, nor is it found when I put http://flashair in the browser. I used a thing called Angry IP Scanner and saw the address was live. Once I used the IP addres in the browser it was found. And FlashPap works with it fine with the address as well.

Here is the config file I finished with:

[WDLANSD]

ID=flashair
DHCP_Enabled=YES
IP_Address=192.168.0.19
Subnet_Mask=255.255.255.0

[Vendor]

CIPATH=/DCIM/100__TSB/FA000001.JPG
APPAUTOTIME=0
APPMODE=5
APPSSID=60DC45
APPNETWORKKEY=*********
APPNAME=flashair
DNSMODE=1
UPLOAD=1
LOCK=1
WEBDAV=2
TIMEZONE=-28

Thanks  HEAPS!
