FlashPAP and OSCAR

Exactly. If moving your router and machine closer together isn't an option, then you might want to try what I did and get a WIFI range extender (or repeater) to position somewhere in your house closer to your CPAP machine (my RE is one floor directly above my machine) and have the FlashAir connect to that. It also makes it easier for other wifi devices to connect to your network. Then you'll be able to run FlashPAP from the computer of your choice on your network.

A couple more tips:
  • FlashAir recommends using a Host Name or an IP address. I use an IP address high enough that I'm sure nothing else will normally connect that high, i.e., 192.168.1.151. You can also use a static IP address.
  • The more household streaming is going on, the more likely I get connection timeouts. If that occurs I'll wait until family members have finished their streaming. (Just asking them to refrain from streaming while I transfer my CPAP data does not work. Ask me how I know.) Or I'll just temporarily interrupt all the simultaneous security camera live steaming if I don't want to wait.

Yeah, this is an old house with real wood walls. The CPAP machine is maybe 20ft from the router but it has to go through two walls. Add in that the laptop is wireless (the desktop is hardwired) and the combination effort gives me time outs. I'd love a repeater/extender. Sometimes I can't connect to the wifi from the living room.

So once you put it in your CPAP machine it worked?

After you use it with your PR for a while, let us know how it goes for you.

I've used the FlashAir card for about 30 days now, and performance is flawless. I did have an incident a couple of nights ago where OSCAR did not show any flow data, yet events were calculated. A screen shot follows.

Anyone have ideas on why this might have occurred? This happened to me a few years ago when I was using my PR System One machine.

I've had that hiccup occur once or twice over the past two or three years. I just brushed it off and moved on, and it hasn't happened again. Even for us OCDers, some things just ain't worth frettin' about. Blink
