Thanks Paula, the apnea board sight was a nice connection to my problematic issue regarding choices of facial coverage connecting with either Pillows, Nasal, or Full face mask.

RE: Full face masks
Hi Minutia, I use the AirFit F10 FFM. Been using it about a month. I love it. I just received my backup F10 in the mail today. The mask/CPAP I used before I had for 10 years. Had a nightmare I was suffocating and ripped the old mask off my face destroying it. Called my sister that used to be on CPAP to see if she would sell me hers. She said no, but I'll give it to you. There's been much improvement in the machines & masks in the last decade that I was unaware of. Though I haven't been using the new mask long, I'll try and answer questions you may have.

I use the ResMed AirFit F10. I like it. My nose is often plugged up so a full face mask is my only option.

I recently had an issue where the mask would make a loud whistling noise when I adjusted my sleeping position and it turned out to be caused by a gap between the frame and the mask. I took my mask apart to wash it and since I've put it back together it hasn't made that sound again.

What do you mean by 'your nose is often plugged up'? Is it congested from the humidity in the machine or from the moisture in your breathing? Just curious as I'm wondering if this mask might be a good option for me to move to from a F&P Eson.

No it has nothing to do with the CPAP machine. It is just normal nasal congestion that I've had since a kid. Every day there will be times where I can't breath through at least one nostril. Since I often can't breath through my nose a FFM is the only option.

The F10 is a good FFM mask. The strap connections are well designed because they put pressure right where you need it to stop leaks. There is no strap on your forehead as with many other masks.

I was using it, but it hurt the bridge of my nose so much that I had to put a cloth bandaid on it. I switched to an F&P Simplus, but it digs into my face a bit. Thinking about trying the Amara View.

Gotcha. I can't believe I'm getting excited about the idea of a face mask, but ... it sounds good!
