Small camping CPAP + battery system recommendations
Hi all,
I currently use a Resmed Airsense 10 with nasal pillows for home use (setting of 9.0). When camping, I turn off all the features (tube heater, humidity, put it into airplane mode, etc.) and use a large portable battery pack. However, I usually only get 1.5 nights out of the system (especially if it's cold outside). I'd like to get a portable system (CPAP and battery) that would let me run 4 nights in a row. Weight is not a concern but size is a concern.
- Are the travel CPAPs more energy efficient than a "large" unit like the Resmed (with all the features turned off)?
- If not, I'm thinking of getting a large battery in the ~500Wh range
- What batteries and CPAPs are recommended?
- Are there systems that will work in below freezing (15F-20F worst case) temperatures? Or is this a lost cause and I should just use a dental appliance and deal with the less-optimal sleep?
