Greetings From a Newbie

RE: Greetings From a Newbie
Welcome Leslie..

You will find good support with accurate information and advice here on the Apnea Board.

The start to your apnea journey may be rocky as you adapt to using a CPAP/APAP machine, but hang in there and keep working on the adjustments and refinements.

Leslie, I use a cervical collar to prevent leaks and it works well for me. Usually the standard, generic collar at multiple line "drug" stores has a 3" deep notch at the chin. I was OK with that measurement but it came up too high under my ears (Carex brand). I paid a little more ($12) at a regular drug store in our small town and got a 2.5 inch notch and the sides are much narrower--made by Bell-Horn. It is softer--it had to snug it up a little tighter to provide the support but it sure is more comfortable.

Thanks for the tip!  I'll look for the differences and see which one fits me best. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
