Not very hard, those plastic hinges or whatever they,re called are quite flimsy
This is one defect of the H5i which ResMed need to fix in the S10

Actually speaking it was a nurse in the CC unit that broke it.
When they were getting me ready to be airlifted me to a bigger hospital , she jammed everything into my carrying case along with some other stuff that didn't belong there.
Voila! something had to give.

ResMed won't sell the part to my DME because they are not a Service Depot.

I can't fix it myself with the proper parts so I'll just have to use Duct Tape......
