HI! New to Forum and CPAP...have questions

RE: HI! New to Forum and CPAP...have questions
Welcome Bill,

your leakage rate is acceptable as long as it is not distracting. sometimes a slightly larger leak can awaken or arouse you. I wouldn't worry about that at this time.

It looks like therapy is already pretty good for you. Your body does need time to adjust, and come to the realization that it does not have to expect your airway to be clamped shut 47 times an hour.

often at the beginning of therapy there is a usually a larger CA component and generally trails off over the first 2 to 4 weeks.

there are usually wide fluctuations in AHI score per night, more noticeable at the beginning. In my first 2 weeks my AHI varied from 5.1 to 12.3 (minus a bad night of 21.4), my CA component score was between 25% and 50% of the AHI score. After 7 months I have AHI from 2.8 to 8.1, and my CA is rarely greater than 10% of the AHI score.

YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Good luck with your surgery, your shift to CPAP is going to increase your recovery speed.
