I plan on keeping in the shade. And hoping some idiot doesn't set the neighborhood on fire. We finally got some rain last night but I doubt it was enough.

Regardless, thanks for the well wishes.

Yeah, around here we're dry as dust and I'm sure our local fire department will be quite busy with all the nutjobs shooting off fireworks in the neighborhood with no regard for the hazard.

I can never get any sleep around July 4 here... idiots shoot off fireworks into the wee hours of the morning... last night, had some a couple doors down shooting 'em off around 2 am - and they were the BIG BOOMERS that shake the house too. Oh-jeez

I'm all for allowing fireworks, but geeze... have some common sense when you do it. Annoyed-and-disappointed

Oh, and yeah... Happy 4th of July to everyone too! Smile

Thanks DC! It's nice to know that there are no hard feelings! LOL! I was noticing this evening that the cops are EVERYWHERE! Drunk driving is a big deal in California and they are out in force even though it is only Monday afternoon (the 2nd). I am working from home tomorrow as my machine is supposed to arrive and I may need to sign? Not sure. All I know is that my driving will be limited with all the police around!
As always, YMMV! You do not have to agree or disagree, I am not a professional so my mental meanderings are simply recollections of things from my own life.

Two of our dogs are terrified of loud noises like guns, thunder, and fireworks. I'll be playing P!nk when the noise starts. I've tried all sorts of other music from calming to head bangin' jammin' but they really like P!nk the best. But then, so do I. If it is not too bad a storm, they'll settle down to Solas.

Happy 4th to everyone. We got a little bit of rain last night and people started shooting off fireworks. It wouldn't be so bad if we weren't so dry here. It makes me a bit nervous because people are so careless with those things and the dry weather doesn't help. I think we are supposed to get a little more rain this afternoon though.

Brisket is in the smoker, the kids will be here in the morning for waffles and bacon, and due to the dry weather fireworks of all types have been banned in the whole county.

Shaping up to be a good day!
