Newbie - already changing masks

RE: Newbie - already changing masks
I think you would be more comfortable with a minimum ramp and pressure of 6.0. Not many of us can tolerate the lack of air at 4.0. I have a 560HS and there is no bluetooth on it. Data is written to a SD card in a slot on the back by the power input. You can download Sleepyhead software and see how your therapy is going and learn how to optimize it.

In addition to increasing minimum ramp pressure you can shorten the time that ramp takes to come up to therapeutic pressure. Eventually your best treatment will occur if you raise the minimum theraputic pressure to at least your average nightly pressure, and perhaps to your 90 percent pressure. This will make the machine more responsive, and less disruptive due to pressure fluctuations.

RE: Newbie - already changing masks
I've continued to get leaks so I saw the respiratory therapist yesterday and after trying like 6 different masks, apparently I have a deep groove on both sides of my nose that make it hard for full masks to seal, so we're trying to respironics wisp nasal mask. She warned me the pressure is a lot more concentrated, and to see if i can keep my mouth shut and if not we can try a chin strap.

Other than the occasional need to take a giant breathe through my mouth with it on, it went really well last night. I slept 6.5 hrs and my max pressure was only 10. My AHI was around 2. No leaks. So hopefully this solves that problem and crossing fingers for a bit smoother sailing here on out.
