My pulse watch also gives a raised noise floor when I'm in afib. Really evident at night when sleeping. I mostly get it at night. If you are healthy and BMI less than 25, you probably don't have any metabolic disorder issues so the Multaq (like me) is working too good because your liver is metabolizing all of it. At least that's my problem with it. You should make sure you see a physiological cardiologist. The guy I have is great, a specialist of electrical signals. The Kardia I have is good for confirming what I usually already feel, that I'm in AFIB.

Look into the studies about AFIB, weight loss, exersize, and metabolic disorder. Also, look up alcohol interaction with AFIB if you drink. If you haven't read any of the studies, you might find some interesting information.

Good luck.

I do not take Multaq anymore for over 6 months. They ruled out any recurring AFIB, even at night, with multiple week holter monitors. Those spikes happened when I had the holter monitors and they said they just saw normal rhythm. My BMI though is around 30. 250lbs 6'1". I will never go on Multaq again. That stuff is awful. I had major symptoms on it. I would be sitting down on my couch or getting up out of my car, and feel like I couldn't stand and was going to have a panic attack. It felt like something was totally wrong and I could collapse at any moment. The only way I could bypass those symptoms, were to very slowly stand, and even then it would happen sometimes. Also it gave me bradycardia where I was in the 50's bpm a lot and felt cold. Terrible Terrible drug!

My most recent 2-week holter monitor also was clear with no AFIB.
