I’m guessing this is an example of positional apnea being the problem.
The same setting 3 nights in a row (even though the bottom days says different I didn't change the settings) 9-14 EPR 3 Last night OSA = CAI 11.6 AHI (CAI 4.67, OSAI 4.53, HAI 2.41) [attachment=25940] Back one night 2.39 AHI (CAI 2.09, OSAI 0.3, HAI 0.0) [attachment=25942] back 2 nights 2.93 AHI (CAI 2.13, OSAI 0.4, HAI 0.4) [attachment=25941] This is what puts me in a "I give up mood"... Anyway I need a lab study with someone that understands what I have tried and is willing to look at what the machine is telling them / me / us... I finally get OSA=CA and its at 9-14 with a bloody 11 AHI

This is why I picked that pressure; they are the ONLY greens in the whole statistics

The problem with the Overview statistics is, the best nights may only be based on 1 night. That is the case here. We really need settings to be maintained over a longer period to get a "significant" or repeatable result. Your AHI has varied widely, even with the same settings, and we see lots of clusters of obstructive events. If a collar is not helpful, the pattern of apnea clusters, still suggest a transient positional or anatomical obstruction. I hoped the tonsil stone was going to be the turning point, but there is more, and the charts only tell us it is there; we can't know what it is.

Yeah, that’s what I thought, I was hoping the tonsil stone removal would fix whatever’s going on... I’ve still 2 weeks of antibiotics(?) Also, I tried a travel pillow which I took off because I couldn’t handle it so I am looking for a pillow or something. The overview has nothing else that’s Green; everything ResMed is 1-6 days an anything above 2 day has an AHI > 6 attached to it. Anyway; I’m to fragile for this;

So I am booked in for a “titration study with the intention of determining a fixed pressure to best address my OSA needs and avoid central Apneas” it’s supposed to be tomorrow night... I don’t see the point... last night was an AHI of 16 with a CAI of 11... I feel like I’m banging my head against the wall.

DDSo I had the titration study last night; I didn’t want to go as it’s the COVID-19 Ward but I went. I woke up from the test at 6am and came home and fell asleep again for 4+ additional hours... I then woke up to the following email.... Basically it says that the doctor is no longer seeing me and I need to find a new doctor.
So I am a little soft, I’d pushed myself to go do the test even though I was freaked out... I wake up, make it home & pass out... to then find that I can’t even book in to get the results back for the study I did last night as the day doctor has cut me off and won’t book an appointment to discuss the results; I have to find a new practitioner and have it transferred to them... Thaw going to take months... In the mean time I’m f**ked

Ready to import an ASV from Supplier #2?
I'm confused. You submitted to a sleep test, the result of which is your doctor decided to no longer see you? How does that work?

(09-02-2020, 08:56 PM)Sleeprider Wrote: Ready to import an ASV from Supplier #2? I’m getting VERY close. I spoke to the sleep doctor yesterday morning, the doctor said when we talked that she wasn’t sure she could continue treating me. I said I have a test booked in from you tonight and was talking to her to find out about it ( it was just a titration study and I didn’t feel that’s what I needed, but I gave in and did the test anyway, as I felt it’s the only way I’m going to move forwards. Was to do the test. I had a night where my O2 didn’t drop (below 92% with no drops greater than 4%) which is better than normal BUT I was propped up on extra pillows and the bed was on an angle and I know that if I sleep all propped up the results are skewed; but the technicians wouldn’t listen to me; so the test is going to say nothing useful other than the fixed pressure they used which is going to be better than the APAP I’m currently using. BUT. I can get the results as I did the test, got home and instantly fell asleep - I woke up at at 11am at which time I saw the letter from the sleep doctor saying that i have a complex disordered breathing And I need to see a specialist who is more specialised in complex breathing disorders ... and that I can’t get the results from her that I have to find a new doctor and she will transfer her notes. But the test I just did - might have shown no Centrals just managed OSA... I don’t know - girlfriend says it’s a good thing but it looks like 3-6 months waiting period |
