So, I got my first SH report

RE: So, I got my first Sleepyhead report
So, i have to be a side sleeper - before treatment i was a stomach sleeper, but probably the only way my body found to keep breathing at all. Now, if i start rolling over, i will get obstructions and my AHI will go up again.

RE: So, I got my first Sleepyhead report
I'm most comfy on my side as well, but then the mask (and my drooling) becomes a problem.
I know this probably sounds stupid, but every time I see someone on TV using a machine, they're always on their back with their head elevated. Searched online, and found that this position actually WORSENS apnea....Guess I should have know Hollywood would get it wrong, eh? Big Grin

RE: So, I got my first Sleepyhead report
I have multiple back problems, so back sleeping mostly hinders sleeping well. It does happen, but it's not preferred. I never sleep on the stomach. I used to prefer left side sleeping, but I had a left shoulder scope surgery in 2016, and the back ruptured disk issue affects the left side more than the right side. Therefore, by process of elimination, I predominantly sleep on the right side. There are occasions mixed in with left side and back sleeping. FWIW I generally get the same basic AHI regardless of position.
