I enjoy my heated hose. I crank the temp up in the winter months, and right now since it is summer I have it turned down, and it actually has a nice cooling effect for me.

My machine came with it, I also have a hose cover, but that is because my cat occasionally takes offense to my hose.

We use hose covers to protect from the cats. Two of them check it out, the third (the oldest) doesn't care.
