Heated tube

Sometimes I think I know what I said, but when I go back, it isn't what I thought.

Well I must just think backwards, I did reread what I wrote and I still think it is correct, but could have been more linear and with more detail as I did not explain the entire cycle instead of the end of why the moisture dropped from the air when hitting the cold tube. If I am actually deluding myself please do explain where I am wrong. I am a degreed engineer with lots of physics and I understand thermodynamics, vapor pressure, condensation and the rest. I am now getting somewhat confused and wondering if I am losing it

I only use a heated tube when I start getting rainout. This is not a year-round thing. I have the temp at 69 F, which is fine. Heated tube lets me increase the humidity in the winter when I need it. Another month or so, I'll switch back to a slimline hose.

My brother, who has a Respironics machine, has a heated tube but keeps it off. He never has rainout though. What he does like is the lightness and flexibility of the tube much better than the standard tube he was getting before. The other tubes he has don't have a brand name on them, so I think they were just generic. He has to replace a tube about every 2 years, so in future, he'll be insisting on a Respironics or Resmed plain tube instead of getting another heated tube.
