RE: Help please new user Resmed auto 9 VERY loud
Was the machine new or used?
My machine is two years old, and is much louder than it was originally. I took it to my DME. He took off the cover of the base unit, to show me the sealed motor. He explained that over time, minute dust particles can accumulate in there. When the motor spins, the dust particles get between the fan and the housing, causing the noise I have noticed. Since it's a sealed motor, they can't open it to clean it, so I'm stuck with the noise.
If your machine is new, this shouldn't be an issue. But if it was used, it could be.

Time to let this thread die...the O.P. has not returned, and we are not doing any good talking among ourselves.

This is a RED CARD. Soccer fans!

Seriously!
I don't see the problem....this thread is only 9 days old!
There are many threads that are much older and have been revived.
You never know when someone else is looking for that very information that the OP asked.
RE: Help please new user Resmed auto 9 VERY loud
Check with your BiPap suplier, it should not be loud at all. I use an Aircurve 10 from RESMED, and it is very quiet. One thing, you might try using ia towell or wash cloth to sit the machine on, or something else fairly soft if you have it sitting on a very hard or resonant surface. Good luck.
