Help w Oscar and results, computer illiterate
Hi all,
I read posts constantly, and have just now gotten a card reader and laptop to borrow. I had a stroke, TBI and aphasia 3 years ago and lost my computer skills. My original doctor is 2 states away, the local sleep docs are beyond horrible. I finally upgraded from my S8 and S9 VPAP to the VAuto and I love it.  My problem is that no one is reading my data. Family doc writes for supplies but knows little about apnea treatment. So, I downloaded my data today, and think I got the charts in the correct order and will do my darnedest to do it correctly.  I have not used windows since 2008 and am old and lost, lol
I cannot use a ffm as I do not have the strength to exhale enough and have to lift the ballooning mask to let it fart. So, the P10 works best. I know that I did not do well with the Knightsbridge strap so I just kept using the soft collar. I started that a few months ago and useless M     yair says I am reaching 100pts but my AHI and leaks are too much. Can you help me? Please understand that I need the instructions kept simple. If I could do this on my ipad or iphone, it would be simpler for me. TIA, attachment attempt to follow.

I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Your leaks are the main problem. The first part of the night no Large Leaks and hardly any events, most of your events happened when there your mask is leaking. It is something almost all of us have to work on. That is in fact may main problem with my therapy. What ever you did at the beginning of the night - try to achieve it through out the night.

I would like you to reduce your PS to 3 to see if it impacts your CA and or UA which might be Central

Instead of minute vent and tidal volume add the leak rate chart as that will provide some insight on your leaks. A 2 minute view including flow rate might also help.

Moved thread from SSF to Main Forum, since this is more of a therapy thread than a software issue.

Thanks, working on changing the ps. My leaks happen late in my sleep and according to my trackers mostly when in deep sleep so it’s hard to know how to fix them. In case it matters, I need a longer exhale than most but since on the Vauto, it seems just perfect.
Will get more charts tomorrow and do as you all say. I appreciate you all, especially for moving me to the correct forum.

"My leaks happen late in my sleep and according to my trackers mostly when in deep sleep so it’s hard to know how to fix them."

this is my problem too. my pressures are constant so that's not the source of my leaks (that are higher than baseline, which can vary with different fixed pressures). however, the solutions are the same, e.g., adjusting or changing masks, mask liner, taping, soft cervical collar, chin strap, tongue suck technique...

Bonjour, I tried the PS at 3 and after 30 minutes I felt like I was starving for air. I had to breathe faster and faster to get enough air. I woke up basically panting so I went back to 4. Should I try 3.6 or so? The card didn’t read/write last night, not sure why. i know that it’s due to my weak phrenic nerves and other issues related to my neuromuscular disease. Thanks

No, let's go in the other direction,
set PS = 5 This will better support your neuromuscular disease. We will watch your CA.

Do note that frequently Neuromuscular disease requires a biLevel w backup such as the ResMed AirCurve 10 ST or the iVAPS.

* ST (Spontaneous/Timed) Augments any breaths initiated by the patient, but also supplies additional breaths if the breath rate falls below the clinician’s set “backup” respiratory rate. It Treats COPD, Neuromuscular disease (NMD), Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS) and other respiratory conditions
* T (Timed) Supplies a clinician-set respiratory rate and inspiratory/expiratory time, regardless of patient effort. It Treats COPD, Neuromuscular disease (NMD), Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS) and other respiratory conditions
* iVAPS (intelligent Volume-Assured Pressure Support) Maintains a preset target alveolar minute ventilation by monitoring delivered ventilation, adjusting the pressure support and automatically providing an intelligent backup breath. It Treats COPD, Neuromuscular disease (NMD), Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS) and other respiratory conditions

Keep this in mind for a future replacement.  For now I believe the VAuto will work fine.
