Help with Aircurve 10 VAUTO

Help with Aircurve 10 VAUTO
I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea after a home study at the beginning of last year. Came back with 29.6 AHI and a suggestion of an auto cpap with 5-20 cm H2O pressure. I purchased a Transcend Auto and went through about 15 masks...LOL Thank goodness for mask return insurance. I used the forum to figure out the machine and ended up with 7.0-15.0 pressure with EZEX of 3.  I was struggling with the mask a few months ago so I took a break and tried a mandibular device which screwed up my bite and so now I am back to a cpap for the last week. My readings on the Transcend were 1.5- 5.0 AHI with an averages of 5 minimum pressure-12ish max. It is not super comfortable to use and the interface is not very friendly, so I was thinking of  upgrading. Well I just got a Aircurve 10 VAUTO with 50 hours of use on it from a relative. So I have a new machine that is probably overkill but it was free and is mine. I have been messing around with the settings and am very confused about the different settings. The CPAP setting is obvious but I can't figure out the difference between the S and the Vauto. I would love to get this setup so I don't need to buy a another machine. I have used it a couple of nights on the V setting and had good results but I would really like to understand the S and Vauto settings so I can make sure I am getting the correct therapy. I downloaded Sleepy head which is amazing. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the info that has gotten me through the last year.
Thanks

Put it in VAUTO mode. Set EPAP minimum at 4cm Pressure support at 3cm maximum IPAP at 15cm and that should be about the same as the settings you had with the Transcend Auto.

Just sayin’ you will be spoiled by that machine. Get some data and we should be able to dial you right in.
