Help with respironics system one

RE: Help with respironics system one
Thank you very much for the in depth info.  I tried it last night with the heated hose at 4 and the humidity at 3.  It felt a little too warm but not overly humid.  Would you say there is a machine better for humidity over others?

If it feels to warm drop hose temp to 3.

Humidity setting of three is 80 or 90 % humidity messured by the sensor in the mask end of the heated hose.

Id have to get the manual to remember if it's 80 or 90 %.

The machine WILL put that selected humidity at the mask.   Unless the room humidity is higher in which case the machine won't act as a dehumidifier to lower ambient room humidity.

If your mouth or nose still feel dried out check for excessive mask leaks.

Excessive mask leaks create a hyper fast air flow thru the humidifier hose and mask that is too fast for the humidifier on any machine to keep up with.

Same principle as dry mouth from mouth leaking in a nasal mask.

Some machines are better with humidity vs rain out than others

You have one of the top two. IMO the PR560 is capable of delivering as much humidty to mask without rain out as any machine on the market.
