High AHI after general anesthesia

RE: High AHI after general anesthesia
If the mask has a connector appropriate for oxygen bleed, that is fine. I assume it is normally capped when not using oxygen. I'm just not familiar with the Weinstein Joyceone Mask. Is there a small adapter for oxygen that is in addition to the CPAP tube? If so, the FiO2 can be calculated as shown in the wiki.

There is no adapter, just a little closeable connector, where you can attach some narrow tube to the mask. As the manual says, one can attach a pressure sensor or oxygen tube to it. And yes, it is normally capped.

I set 6L/min oxygen for ~30L/min airflow. This is 34% oxygen.

I asked the nurse to measure his saturation and it was 94-95% when we left the hospital for the night.

We will go back early in the morning because the nurses apparently have no idea what to do with the BiPAP machine in this situation.

I'm very very sad that I was the one who had to figure this out in a hospital. And I'm very thankful to you guys for helping me.

I hope he will be better tomorrow.
