[Pressure] Full Face Mask vs. Pillows

Full Face Mask vs. Pillows
Do FFM’s require different settings from pillows masks to achieve the same result? I recently changed from a P10 to a F30 and got different results. AHI went from .3 (mostly CAs) to 2 (mostly OAs).

I have to say the F30 stopped the lip leaks and dry mouth. Also I sleep much better so I am happy with the results.
CPAP is a journey like “The Wizard of Oz”. It’s a long slow journey. You will face many problems and pick up many friends along the way. Just because you reach the poppies, it doesn’t mean you are in Kansas.

Yes!  Look under the mask setting in the, "My Options ⇾ Mask" menu for "Full Face Mask" in lieu of "Pillows" setting.

I did that. I mean different max or min settings. And/or EPR settings.

RE: Full Face Mask vs. Pillows
With an FFM, you can up the pressure if desired but the current set pressure in your lung and airway is the same as for pillows. It's the perceived pressure on the nose that feels different because of equal pressure inside and outside with an FFM, as opposed to higher pressure only on the inside with a pillow mask.

This is what I would expect. The only way I can explain the change in events is that I am sleeping much better and the new events occurred after I get my restorative sleep completed.

I can relate to that. Some of my best night's sleep had higher AHI's.

I'd put more emphasis on how you feel. Numbers can assist but never tell the whole story.
