RE: Hosed up for 6 weeks now
Are you still using EPR? If so, I would give another try to turning that off and keeping your pressure fixed - CPAP 10 with EPR disabled.

RE: Hosed up for 6 weeks now
You may be able to gradually get used to less and less EPR and eventually turn it off. Things which are uncomfortable often don't stay that way. I never thought I'd be able to fall asleep with pressures of 19/15, but it only took a couple weeks for my discomfort to pass.
Also, you may be able to use a lower CPAP pressure with EPR off, which could be as comfortable or almost as comfortable as the higher pressure with EPR on.

RE: Hosed up for 6 weeks now
Good point I will try reducing EPR and see how I get on.
Following up with my appointment,,So she agreed my results are not good and was concerned that I am still tired, so I am booked in to see her boss in Jan. As I walked out the door she said " I dont think we will change your machine though as you have made a great improvement " doh hopes dashed we will see. She mentioned the insurance companies don't like the ASV route as its expensive to which I said I would happily pay myself if it meant I felt rested and got the correct treatment. She also gave me a Airfit F20 to try which I did last night but found it pinched the top of my nose and made it quite sore. It does seem like its the old model though as its frosted, am I correct with my thoughts? I might try the airtouch to see how I get on with that but I with my oily skin I am wondering if its a good choice as you cant wash it?
RE: Hosed up for 6 weeks now
If the F20 pinched the top of your nose, it was likely set too tight. You should actually have it slightly loose so that when it inflates it tightens up on it's own. Please read over Bonjour's excellent mask fitting guide below in my signature for more suggestions.
Most insurance providers require you to fail at the regular machine and demonstrate that before they allow you to go the ASV route...
