How can you tell if you have quality sleep or not? How I can tell.

How can you tell if you have quality sleep or not? How I can tell.
I recently found out I get better quality sleep with Resperonics Wisp mask than the Resmed N20.

How do I know if I get better quality of sleep with the Wisp mask?  By several ways.

I wake up less with the Wisp mask, and fall back to sleep easier.

When I wake up, I do not have anxiety attacks where I start to worry about things.  I think this is the sign of OA. I now believe poor quality sleep correlates to elevated level of anxiety.

And when I check my bp in the morning, it's in the normal range.  If the mask isn't working out, my bp rises in the morning due to poor sleep quality.

My tinnitus isn't so severe.

And also, I'm in a better mood.

How do you guys know if your sleep quality was good or bad?

To me quality of sleep means waking up clear headed (no more morning brain fog…all synapses seems to firing correctly), no morning headache, using the proper mask which was a huge challenge and using a fixed pressure. I rarely get up in the middle of night any longer.

I tend to feel better when there is less variation in my pressure. I’m not talking in how high the pressure but the pressure does not show jagged movements

I went to fixed pressure/ gave it a week and I feel much better. When I don’t sleep good I can always feel it in my eyes.

After waking up and disconnecting from everything (APAP, Oximeter, Fitbit) and BEFORE I look at any data, I ask myself "How do I feel?"  Rested, mediocre, terrible?  And I judge my sleep quality on that.

For me, seeing the data before I made the decision on my sleep quality could often skew my judgement as to how well I think I slept.  So I don't take it into consideration until later.  Might sound odd, but it works for me.  YMMV

Leaks wake me up. So for me my best mights are when I have zero leaks.
CPAP is a journey like “The Wizard of Oz”. It’s a long slow journey. You will face many problems and pick up many friends along the way. Just because you reach the poppies, it doesn’t mean you are in Kansas.

Same. Just a dry feeling. Plus headache. Add to that an inability to process thoughts. Rise in anxiety and ruminating thoughts. Also I get song earworms that constantly run.
