Hello everyone,

Just a random question, I got diagnosed with sleep apnea at age 30, currently 39, and loving my night using my machine.

agiraud, welcome, I'm 50 and was diagnosed 2 years ago but have had sleep apnea my whole life. My parents used to have to drive me around in a car when I was a baby to get me to sleep (probably to keep my head upright) and as soon as they laid me down and I heard a nosie that woke me, we would be back in the car driving around again. I wish I was diagnosed years ago but are so grateful I have been diagnosed now and love my CPAP. Waking in my Sleep Specialists door was the best day of my life.

Hi agiraud,

I'm 40, soon to turn 41. Was diagnosed and have been on PAP since August of last year, but am sure I've had apnea since my early 20s.

47, diagnosed when I was 39 or so. But looking back, I've had it since I was at least a teen. In college, I had room mates that used to invest in ear plugs. And one noted I would jerk so hard I would move the bed across the floor.

I'll be 67 in 11 days; diagnosed in 1995, at which time I would have been 49. Have never slept a night without the therapy since receiving my first machine

I'll be 54 later this month and I started cpap therapy 18 months ago at the tender young age of 52.5. In hindsight I'm positive that I have had sleep apnea for at least 8 years before being diagnosed, maybe even a decade before that but never paid attention to the symptoms. Always thought it was just stress at work and lack of sleep. I'm also convinced that my parents had it based on the decibel level of their snores and gasping for air after a loud snore.
