[How to] Start a New Thread with the Right Subject Line!

RE: Start a New Thread with the Right Subject Line!
Sadly, the non informative subject line is an issue on quite a few motorcycle forums I'm on too.

A good idea to give this topic a bump now and then. like

It's been a while and we're getting a lot of new members. So I thought I would bump this back to the top.

Please try to make your subject lines clear so the right people with the right answers can get there right away. Right?

NEED HELP!!!! <--- not a good subject line. Need help with what? It won't get everyone to your door to see what you need.

NEED HELP WITH SD CARD!!!! <--- much better. Now those who understand the demons in the SD cards know they are needed. It's like a bat signal in the sky. But let's lose the all caps (considered shouting) and drop the multiple exclamation points. It makes the software twitchy when in a subject line.

Need help with SD card <---- there, was that so difficult?

Mods always taking the fun out of stuff........ Anyone can post "Help my P10 mask has sprung a leak and I need help". But it takes someone real special to say "OMG NEED HELP NEW HERE!!!!!!!!!!! **** !!!!!!!!!!! L@@K " Note the 11 exclamation points as 10 won't get a good response, and the added asterisks for good measure, along with the look spelling.

Ahhh yes, some sense of humor here.

To all the newbies, <--------> Cut it out and listen to Paula02. Otherwise she'll hunt you down, and make you fix your posts!!!

I love that the subject of your thread gets right to the point!  Point taken.  As a relative newbie (this might be my 3rd post?) I find it easier to identify which threads can help address issues I'm having.  This forum has been so helpful.  Thanks to everyone.  Coffee

RE: Start a New Thread with the Right Subject Line!
We need to change the name of this thread (hahaha), because as well as "[How to] Start a New Thread with the Right Subject Line!", it needs to say "If you don't intend to actually listen to any of the advice given DON'T OPEN A NEW THREAD!!!!!!!!!" and yes it does need to have all those exclamation marks!!!!!! (emphasis added to exclamation marks).

Thanks Sleep-well Thanks Okay
