questions re m series auto bipap setup

questions re m series auto bipap setup
1. What does the bi flex settings (off, 1, 2, 3) actually do. Manual states for "pressure relief", but does not explain what this actually means and does. The auto bipap gauges the air pressure to inhalation and exhalation, so that function is also "pressure relief" in that it gives you the air pressure you appear to need. What then does bi flex "air pressure relief" do differently?

2. Can someone help my understand the meaning of the following data results.
a. In the 90% pressure screen on the LCD, it shows my 30 day average cmH20 pressure is 10.8/7.9. I assume this is an average of 10.8 pressure on inhalation and 7.9 at exhalation, 90% of the time I am sleeping. Is this accurate?

b. in the system leak screen, it shows an L/min of 25.5. Is this OK?

c. in my apn-hyp index screen, my 30 day average shows an AHI of 4.3. The range for normal breathing for those without sleep apnea is 0 to 5 API. Mild sleep apnea is 5 to 15. With my using the machine, I can get to the upper range of the normal breathing cycle during sleep (i.e., 4.3), but it seems that I would want to get my AHI lower than this. Are my results for therapy adequate, or should the results show a lower AHI (e.g 1 to 2.0). Still feel tired during the day with the machine, but better than when I am sleeping without the machine, and don't wake up as much as I would without the machine. Am I correct in my understanding here, and is their anything I can do to improve the efficacy of the machine, e.g., through tweaking the settings, going to non auto bipap where the settings are set?

Thanks!
