After several months not bothering with the APAP because I just couldn't get used to it, my sleep has deteriorated so much that I'm trying the APAP again. I have no idea where I put the Quattro FFM so I'm using the nasal pillow which I found less intolerable anyway and seems to work as well as anything. But it hurts my nose after a while and I can't remember the tricks people shared to make it less uncomfortable. Can anyone point me in the right direction or offer suggestions?

How to make nasal pillows less uncomfortable?
I know I've read about this before but can't find it again. I tried a search but still couldn't find any helpful info.

Don't over-tighten. Use a larger size nasal pillow. It doesn't go in your nose, it rests lightly on your nose.

The Airfit P10 is quite comfortable and I agree with Sleerider, don't over-tighten. Using humidity can help a lot too. My machine has a heated tube which eliminates "rain out" or moisture forming in the mask. It's a great device.

I am using humidity and it's not overtight. I just think it needs something soft to protect the skin of my nose. I've tried KY and lip saver and I'm afraid to try hand lotion.

Barriere Cream. Ask for it by that name, with that spelling. A bit goes a long way.

It works well when applied to the outer portion of the nostrils just before putting the mask on. It will not harm your mask. As jaswilliams stated, just a dab will do you. The least amount you can get on your finger will treat both nostrils.

Groggygirl,
You can try a different mask. I use Dreamwear nasal cushion, which sits under the nose. I could not tolerate the nasal pillow option do to discomfort.

I might have to switch to a different mask but since they are expen$ive I'm trying to make this one work first. Lanolin is a good idea, I'll try it.
