RE: Back to cpap
Which ResMed did they give you?

Purchase an SD card for this machine.  It wont affect the rental at all.

Then download OSCAR software.  Use the links in my signature line to guide you.  We can help you with correct pressure and comfort settings.  Again, this wont affect your rental of the machine.

Also, order a Clinicians manual so that you will know how to change pressure settings and get the most out of your Cpap.

If you arm yourself with the right tools, you can succeed.  Most of us have been in your situation.  A good attitude and knowledge will help.

RE: Back to cpap
In addition to doing the things that OpalRose has suggested, could you also write to let us know what the experience of using the machine is like for you? Can you describe what is happening that makes you stop after a few hours? E.g., you feel claustrophobic, or the mask is blowing air into your eyes, or there are noises that bother you, or ... ?

It's great you're going to get some mask-fitting help. The right mask, and the best fitting, is one key to getting all this to work.

RE: Back to cpap
I re-read your original post. So you have used an MAS device and did that cure your sleep apnea?

I’ve only used xPAP so I am not familiar with the device, and I personally would probably never use one, but it seems that is really at the root of this. Did you have a titration with the MAS, (not even sure that is possible)?

If the MAS really did work for you, find a doctor that will be able to provide one. If you still felt tired using it, going to CPAP, might be your only ticket.
