Huge AHI increase

Huge AHI increase
I've been using a ResMed S9 for about two years and have had good results, my AHI readings are generally below 5, occasionally go up to 10. But in the past two weeks my AHI readings have been above 50, sometimes above 100! I don't feel particularly tired so am wondering if there could be something wrong with the machine. I got my CPAP device in Canada, moved to  Mexico a year ago so don't have my original sleep clinic specialists to ask. Has anyone else had this problem?

You should download sleepyhead and check your data with it. You can also post your sleepyhead charts here by following the links below.

Without the charts it's a total guess as to whats happening.

Thanks, just downloaded SleepHead. But unfortunately,. I'm going to have to get a new SD card since I lost the original one in the move.

Sleepyhead is great, wonderful results charts. Basically it said get thee to a doctor but I still think it's something to do with the machine, sometimes there seems to be no air flowing through it at all. I'm going to try increasing the pressure to see if that helps.

RE: Huge AHI increase
see if you can hire a loan machine overnight from a re-seller there. That will tell you if it's the machine.
I take it you've done the standard stuff, unplug the machine for half hour, Turn smart start off and check that the air volume is blowing out the hose as the machine maxes out

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure.

RE: Huge AHI increase
Smacklin, simply posting a chart would probably tell us everything we need to know to cut your AHI significantly. If that something you're interested in, take a screenshot (F12 in Sleepyhead), and attach it to a post. Screenshots are saved in a Screenshot subfolder of Sleepyhead under My Documents.
