Humidifier/Heated Hose Usage during Summer

Humidifier/Heated Hose Usage during Summer
This is a question for all you experienced CPAP users.  If you use a heated hose/humdifier, do you use it all year long or not during the summer?  Thanks.

I use mine all year. In summer I drop the temp to around 25 degrees and up to 30 in winter.

I use it all year, but keep humidity and heated hose at lowest temperature in summer.

All year and keep settings to Auto - temp 83. Auto is very nearly essential to prevent any "rainout" conditions any time of year in my area.

I need my heated hose and humidifier when the humidity drops below 45%.   This works out to be from late autumn to early spring. I use a regular hose and no humidifier the rest of the year.

I used to use a heated hose the cool half of the year, and a regular hose the warm half of the year. Now, I use a heated hose year-round because the Pilairo Q mask gets noisy if any water condenses in it, and because I've got a big stockpile of heated hoses that I bought dirt-cheap. I doubt I'll ever use them all.

Depends on whether I can get a Resmed brand Slimline paid for by insurance. They are quieter than the knockoff brands. For many, the only way they can get a brand name hose via insurance is to request the heated hose because it can't be substituted for a knockoff. I use the Slimline during the summer since I don't get rainout then and the hose cost is much less. Slimline is lighter than the Climateline although you probably only notice that when you are awake. Otherwise, you don't care. Smile

I use my heated hose with a hose cover and my humidifier yearround on automatic setting, would like to switch it to manual setting, someday.
