I ate fish for dinner. Will this ruin my new mask?

I ate fish for dinner. Will this ruin my new mask?
I picked up my new equipment today. I promptly had fish for dinner. I have lingering fish aroma emanating from my pores. Ding Dong. Oh-jeez

Am I in for a chronic fishy flavor on my brand new mask? Anti-venom for this toxicity?

This might not be as impactful as onions or garlic, but close.  Sad

Wash your mask, hose, and humidifier with unscented mild detergent and all will be well. The odor is transmitted by the transfer of skin oils which are not usually absorbed in the short term.

Lol! I went to check which mask you're using and you haven't updated your profile yet. Big Grin I'm sure it will be fine.

I could inspect it for about 2 years and let you know ;-)

Cleaning and airing out should help.

I'm an onion fan. Could eat onions like apples. My lady lets me know when I wreak of onions. Not once has there ever been an onion odor left with my cpap equipment. I don't think it would lend well for hygiene if the equipment took on odors as that would mean it is absorbent. Stay fishy my friend!

Problem solved. A handful of Tums to settle the whole thing down, and a lavish wedge of cornbread to soak up drifting fish fumes.

Doing a Hazmat on my new equipment was not a fun proposition.
