I finally fixed Firefix.
#1
I have been bugged by FF hanging on close, then sending a crash report since version 37. Yesterday, I found a solution that I though, : "That's way too simple -- it cannot possibly be that simple."

Well, it worked.
I use Win7; and I drilled down to:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xockl9es.default

There is a file named places.sqlite in there. Renamed it to places.sqlite.old When I started firefox my favicons were missing from bookmarks; but every site worked perfectly -- including those I was signed into. It has not flaked on me since.

Firefox created a new places.sqlite file.

It appears it really was that simple.

Nice find!

Just FYI, the folder under Profiles is a random name.default

On mine it is zzktagfs.default.

Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. Access through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses. Big Grinnie

Mine had been nutty for a while, but is behaving nicely now.

On a side note, not counting Microsoft's barrage of privacy invasion, I set up a new laptop with 10 on it for a friend. Seemed to work quite nicely, and not so scary a jump for those that are "technically" challenged. You know, the ones with the ID10T issues?Oh-jeez

Well, you got me with those, I'll need an update.

Also in the other thread (LL) you referenced someone or thing I'm not familiar with either. I will need an update on that thread also.

PICNIC is Problem In Chair Not In Computer.
PEBKAC is simlar - Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.

For the car mechanics, I also love the joke about the blonde and the 710 cap.

*disclaimer, I used to be blonde before I got old. Now I'm just gray.

Why is there a picture of a guy doing pushups on the 710 cap?

How to add 710:

LOL about FireFIX.
Get the free SleepyHead software here.
