I forgot to add water

I forgot to add water
Yesterday, I cleaned my H5i tank and placed it back in the machine empty. At bedtime, I forgot to put water in it. First time in 6 years!

I never noticed a difference last night. But, when I went to refill tonight -- bone dry!

Dooh!

I haven't done that yet. Ran out of water a few times though.

Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. You can download your data through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

Stick it to the man, Download OSCAR and take back control of your data!

Thanks Ian. Like I didn't have enough Honey-Do projects to tackle. Mornincoffee

I have run my S9 humidifier before with no water.
Other times I have used setup to manually turn it off too.
I think the thermostat just shuts it down anyway.
No bad smells showed up, I suppose that's a good thing.
(Consider folks will be running them dry all the time anyway.)

My old S8 machine would not shut off when out of water and would overheat somewhat. It gave off an acrid, stinging aroma that would wake me up. Yeah, who needs an alarm. Have not done that with my S9 yet (Whew).

RE: I forgot to add water
I used a humidifier for the first several months, I worked out of town quite a bit and got tired hauling distilled water in my pickup to have it frozen hard when it came time to use it in my hotel room. I finally decided it wasn't worth the trouble and it took me about a week to get used to not having the humidified air but that was nine years ago and the last machine I bought I didn't even buy the humidifier.

My suggestion is to try not using it for a while and if you are lucky like me and it doesn't bother you, it's pretty nice having one less thing to mess with each night.

Turns out, I really need humidity. So, not an option for me.

Not an option for me either. I need my humidity.
I even run a separate room humidifier at night. Smile

Homer

This was a resurrected necro-thread from August. Our rain was Tuesday, 15 September. It was nice. We got nearly an inch where I am.
