I hit the doughnut hole today
So thanks to my former company reneging on retiree medical promises, I now have to pay through the nose for meds 'til year's end.

Bummer. Do you use sites like GoodRX or similar to search for the best prices on meds?

Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. Access through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses. Big Grinnie

Try walmart. They're cheaper with no insurance, paying cash, than I can get using my insurance.

My brother just got out of the donut hole. He's in it every year, so I do sympathize. Hopefully, your chosen drug plan helps. My bro's insulin is $1000 a vial, cut down to about $450 with the BC/BS drug plan insurance discount. Now, that he's out of the donut hole, it's $62.

Good RX does not discount if Medicare covers it. However, if you find a drug on GoodRX that is cheaper than you would otherwise pay, go to another chain, don't give them your Medicare information and just have them apply the coupon. Your regular pharmacy can only apply the coupon if the med isn't covered by Medicare.

Am I understanding your statement correctly in that if you go to a different pharmacy, tell them you have no insurance that they may honor a coupon? Sure wish I had known that when trying to buy test strips for testing my blood sugar. Thanks for the information.

WalMart prices are good, also can any of your meds be purchased with a generic version? Sometimes they are considerably cheaper. Depending on where you live, you might be able to buy from a pharmacy in Canada? I know people who drive that far because their meds are so expensive.

I agree with Shastzi - "dadburn medical mafia". One of my blood pressure drugs just jumped from $150 in price to $375 which means - someone is making a huge profit.

Yep. Be sure to check that the coupon is valid before paying. I also found the best deal on brand name glucose strips at Amazon. Don't buy too many in advance since they are sometimes not far from expiration.

Thank You so much ! Some of these dad-burn test strips retail sell for $1 apiece and up. That really burns a hole in my pocket Sad
