I'm slipping away...........

RE: I'm slipping away...........
Ratchick, I started being my own advocate for health when I talked to other cpap users.
One was a work friend. She had stopped using her cpap. It was an S9E I bought it from her in like-new condition for a very low price. I put 20,000 hours on that machine!

I had no prescription. In fact I had the sleep-doc-from-_ell.

Consider buying used.

Ratchick,
please do this.

Go see you doc TODAY, tomorrow at the latest.
Take our O2 info and see him, Say I (kinda) understand the issue with getting an ASV, but I'm here to get my O2 DeSats fixed tonight. Now as I understand it that requires supplemental oxygen. How do we get that by tonight?

Thank you Gideon and Dave. I will call my doc again today and chase them up (again) and try your line. It's a little harder in the UK to get used products (simply because most people here get them on the NHS and have to return them) but I will keep my eye open for used.

Big Guy - sorry for temporarily derailing your thread, and I'm really glad to hear that you've decided to continue for now. Hang in there.

I hadn't considered buying a used cpap before I had the chance to do it. When it happened it was a real upgrade for me

Big Guy look at the wonderful community we have here!

No need for anyone to ever worry about derailing any one of my threads. No need for any apologies either.  Wink

I got in over 7 hrs. of use last night. My AHI was 1.4

You beat me - I got 8+ with a 1.5.

Hang in there, my friend.

Well done Big Guy! Keep it up!

(I've been compliant for more than 30 years. Sleep doc and DME supplier say that means 4 hours sleep and AHI<5.0. Me? 7:49 and 0.2 last night.)

RE: I'm slipping away...........
Can I get the L prize? I had 6 hours of therapy last night and was awake for at least 2.5 of them - despite that, I had an AHI that was disgustingly high. LOL

Thank you Big Guy. Smile I'm glad you got in a decent night's use and with good results.
