Ifixit announces medical equipment doc repository

Ifixit announces medical equipment doc repository
I have been involved in the "Right to Repair" movement for several years and just got a news update from them that may be useful...
One of the significant information sources in the repair movement is a site called "Ifixit" - they sell some tools for things like opening up cases or odd driver bits, and I think they may sell some parts, but their primary focus is collecting "How-to" info, both official manuals and guides from users that have taken stuff apart  and fixed it.... like

They just announced that they have created what they claim to be the worlds largest repository of medical equipment repair documentation - much of it aimed at helping the techs in hospitals get access to the information they need to repair the gear that keeps patients alive...
I just looked out of curiosity, and they have some manuals for CPAPs etc., though not ones I recognized Sad ...  I don't know if they have any interest in the manuals we have since they are clinical rather than repair, or if the ApneaBoard would want to share them... (Not my decision....)

If you go to the site, you need the "Device/Medical_Device" page, and then select the "Clinical Equiment" category, it is pretty obvious from there...

lots of good info there but unfortunately I didn't see any references to resmed machines under either the cpap or bilevel categories.

I agree, and even the Respironics list didn't include the Dreamstation...  I forget whether the other Remstar machines mentioned are ones we like here or not...

I don't know if the folks that manage the Apnea Board manual collection would be willing / interested in offering to share it with Ifixit, or whether Ifixit would have any interest in clinician manuals as opposed to repair manuals....
