In Need of Noobie Education
RE: In Need of Noobie Education
Honestly, I would prefer not to be on oxygen. However, I don't see a direct correlation between apnea/hypopneas and the oxygen events. That was true of when I was on bipap as well. Is it possible to control both with the ASV?

I was of the understanding that sleep apnea/chronic hypoxia actually changes your oxygen chemistry. I was hoping that having oxygen therapy would help my body heal and thus change that chemistry. I have not had VO2 Max test, but I'm sure it would show poor oxygen utilization. There is precious little written regarding healing from hypoxia under these conditions. Do you have any recommendations?

Just an added note - last night was the first time since I've been monitoring my oxygen that I did not go below 88%. I was at 88%, just not below. I consider this to be a significant improvement!!
