RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
DaveL,
The mask is brand new. But the headgear, although only a couple of months old, has been tightened so much that it A) Should be washed as suggested the other day by my DME or if that doesn't work, get a new one. It is too soon to have my insurance pay for it, but if I need to I'll pay out of pocket.
Thanks so much for the input.

I KNEW I wasn't totally bonkers. Although, as evidenced by all the postings of wrong dated charts lately, yeah....being tired sure has its drawbacks. Thanks for the detailed clarifications.
Hope the just posted Zoom is of help. Do you want the corrected OVERVIEW? Or forget it? If all is good I'll post a bad period if you still are interested?

Teamwork! I care.
I find the little things are often missed, and sometimes the little things make the difference from my failure or success.
In 30+ years of treatment, my new sleep doc said he was going to increase my pressure so I might experience more curative sleep. I was absolutely blown away! I've increased it again.
As I've said before, "If I have to wear this crap it better work. I want my numbers as low as possible.

Absolutely! Why should we go through all this to NOT get a freaking decent night sleep.

Teamwork. We'll get there.

re-read my edit on #450
Yes please, let's have all three one more time in a single post with good axes so that we aren't hunting up and down.
1) Overview
2) Good
3) Bad
RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
Sleep Smoking, very bad, because you are not conscious of doing it. Smoking in general, not going there, I'm sure that you are very familiar with the issues.
As a former fire fighter I can envision your entire house going up with you in it.\, and I don't want that.
For the night, every night, LOCK your smokes, MJ too, up in a hard to get place (different floor) and put the key in a different place, not on your key ring. You got the idea, make it as hard to get to as possible. If you are awake, not addressing that, but make it hard.

Absolutely bonjour! I hear you. Thank you.
Now, why won't my images post? I have only three to post, I have plenty of room with my image limit, but when I preview to check accuracy it does not show the images, just the code. At first only one showed and the others did not. Now none of them do.
It's always something with me.

Just guessing..
If you are trying to embed the images inline, I can never get that to work for me. I stopped trying.
Just add them as attachments and remember to hit "add attachment" after you do the "browse"
It's easy to forget over there on the right side of the UI.
EDIT: CBT rephrase... It's not always something with me..... it's sometimes something with me (and with others too) but not always and not only me. ;-)
RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
On CBT for insomnia (CBTi), the key thing that's interesting and maybe relevant is "sleep restriction therapy."
Link to a good, concise, explanation [ PDF; from Kaiser].
Caveats: I'm just a patient, with no medical training.
