RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
That's two nights in a row of pretty good flow limits (for you). We are shooting for seven to demonstrate consistency.
If you scan your zooms I'd expect things to look "decent" again.
How about posting a couple of zooms looking for the best and the worst?
Less physical movement may be a coincidence or may fit my theory related to your body previously trying to fix bad breathing.
There's insufficient consistent data to say one way or the other and I don't want to fall into the trap of confirmation bias.
(That's not one of the classic CBT distortions.. but it's the same kind of thing).
I suggest that you keep settngs as they are again and continue the other hygiene efforts looking for a full week of consistency.
RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
Hello DaveL! Thank you so much for your interest in my case.
It isn't a hose issue, my husband created a way to hold it up to alleviate the "rain effect" and it seems to be doing the job. The only thing it could be is my mask and I have had a huge improvement actually since switching to foam. The curious thing to me is that I have FLOW LIMIT issues with or without LEAKs.
From approximately 2:00AM to approximately 2:45AM There are no leak events listed. My corresponding video time stamps show I am not having any noticeable movement and I am on my side. At approximately 2:45AM, according to the chart I start a LARGE LEAK EVENT. The corresponding video time stamps show that I have moved from my side to my back, my naturally preferred position, I appear to be sleeping peacefully, AND for some reason no leak alarm is going. Usually I can find where I am trying to adjust the straps. I remember doing some adjusting last night, just not sure when.
So, it is a conundrum for sure.
Sincerely,
Plmnb

RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
CA events at this rate do not worry me much because they simply come from over-ventilation, rather than some other more sinister reason. I suspect it feels better than the flow-limited alternative.
For some reason your flow limit chart is now scaled -60 to +60. The ideal scale is 0 to 1, so it is pretty useless as-is. We can see your 95% FL is only 0.12 so pretty good night for you.
RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
Morning ApneaQuestions.
I'll work on a couple of zooms for ya.
Question, you say "pretty good flow limits for you" . Should I be of the understanding that our goal is to ELIMINATE ANY FLOW LIMITS or just the majority? Since I have events wether or not I have a FLOW LIMIT reading it is confusing, still. Should I expect that I could have restful sleep with "pretty good" FLOW LIMIT or am I aiming for NO FLOW LIMIT which doesn't even seem to matter?

Not sure how that happened. I'll fix it and post new OVERVIEW. Thank you Sleeprider.

Wait, sleeprider, it is my FLOW RATE, NOT FLOW LIMIT that is showing the incorrect scale. Working on it now. (I was preiously told to change some scales, maybe this was one)?

RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
I'm really sorry sleeprider. But I'm confused, again. When I change the FLOW RATE chart, which is the one set at -60 to +60, and make it 0 to 1, it fills the entire graph to solid black and accentuates the events.
I have had no problems knowing how to change these measurements so i don't understand. And the -60 to + 60 is what the axis has been for all my last charts.

Uh, guys? What am I supposed to do about the axis problem? I don't want to post zooms if the measurements are wrong?

RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
Have a look at your
post #429 at the chart listed as 1/10. Your FLOW LIMIT chart is set at -60+60. Usually it's 0-1
RE: In anticipation of my BIPAP Re: New Thread
Not sure if sleeprider is reading real-time or not so I'll answer for you.
The Flow Limitations graph only has values that range from zero to 1.0.
So there's no point having the axes scaled to a larger range than that.
0.0 means "your flow is currently unrestricted" (or words to that effect)
1.0 means "your flow is very limited and restricted"
The value will NEVER be less than zero and NEVER more than 1.0
Make sense?
