Incomplete Data
Ever since I upgraded to the newest version of OSCAR I am now getting incomplete data each night. If I get up during the night for 5 minutes Oscar shows that's all the sleep I've had. So it's showing I'm non-compliant and getting only 3-4 hours of CPAP treatment every night. What's happening and how do I fix it ? I'm using a Resmed AirSense 10 ASV machine but IO haven't touched any of the settings on it.  HELP !!!

RE: Incomplete Data
Look at the daily chart in OSCAR, left sidebar. Go to the bottom where it shows the sessions. You can click on the bars to turn sessions on or off. I suspect the second part of the night is turned off.

Here's what the bottom of the left side looks like. I don't see a 2nd session.  (see attachment)

Do you have Smart-Start turned on?

RE: Incomplete Data
Where is "Smart Start" ? On the machine or in OSCAR?  I haven't touched the machine's settings at all. The problem started when I upgraded to the new version of OSCAR.

RE: Incomplete Data
In the morning, does your CPAP machine show a number of hours of use that is different than OSCAR reports? If it is about the same as OSCAR reports, then it looks like you are not restarting your machine after you get up.

Are you set up to use ResMed's MyAir app? If so, is OSCAR showing a different number of hours of use than MyAir? (Not that MyAir is particularly useful but it does provide a cross check.)

SmartStart is an option on your CPAP machine that automatically starts the machine when you put your mask on and start breathing.

RE: Incomplete Data
Both my CPAP machine and MyAir are showing the correct number of hours of use. Yes, my machine automatically starts when I put the mask on and start breathing.  When I got back into bed after getting up for 5 minutes last night I made sure that I had the mask on and that it was working. So the problem has to be in OSCAR. I just regret upgrading to the new version as I had absolutely no problems with the old one.

RE: Incomplete Data
Are your computer and CPAP machine set to the same time zone (including DST or not)? Are you trying to load your data into OSCAR immediately after getting up?

Can you send me some information from OSCAR so I can examine further?

Click on Help/Troubleshooting/Create zip of OSCAR diagnostic logs to create a zip file of your logs.  Upload that zip file to my Dropbox folder.

RE: Incomplete Data
I uploaded that data to your Dropbox.
- Oscar and the CPAP machine have the same time except that the CPAP machine is on DST - so a 1 hr difference but that has never mattered before
- Yes, I transfer the data on the SD card to Oscar within 15 minutes of getting up in the morning

Thanks for your help here.

This is a known problem caused by changes in OSCAR to improve the speed of loading data. It has been fixed for the next release.

The workaround is to wait an hour before loading data into OSCAR.

If the workaround is inconvenient and you are interested, I can make a test version of OSCAR available to you that has this problem fixed.

EDIT: Or, you can just change the time in your CPAP machine to standard time like your computer is set to.
