A.H.I. With Hose Off Mask & Machine Running
Howdy,
I wake up at night for a rest-room calls. I do not turn off my machine as I just Pull off my Hose From My Full Face Mask.

Does this affect the machine or A.H.I.? . Which I do not fully understand yet.

Is there a list of what the abbreviations stand for on this very, very help-full site.

Prairie, I turn mine off, sometimes take the mask off, sometimes leave it on, then get back and turn it back on and then plug the hose in. If you have the Ramp feature turned on, it starts again that way. In the software it appaers as a gap.

Apnea Board has a wiki:
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...=Wiki_Home

that's where you'll find the sleep apnea acronyms and abbreviations:

It shouldn't matter, but turn it off any way. Some people have reported their machine gets buggy if you take the mask off and let it run too long, and it may screw up the data needed for your insurance.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.
Useful links.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.

False AHIs would be a big problem over here in UK. You have to prove you are consistently hitting low numbers per hour or they take your drivers licence away.
