Is my high v2 snore actually tooth grinding
i was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea (ahi 115) just over a year ago and have found my cpap machine to be a life saver.  My ahi is averaging 3 and i am so much more alert and rested  Precpap my  sister would complain bitterly about my snoring when we traveled together, now she says Idont snore.   However my nightly charts are a mess with a great deal of v2 snoring until the pressure goes up to 16 when it is no longer recorded.   I have been a significant bruxer since childhood  could bruxism be read as v2 snoring with a phillips dreammaker.?  I ask because when the pressure goes high there are more leaks which will wake me .

I can't say yes or no for certain on bruxism being your source for VS2. I do know the Respironics units have a nasty habit of reporting VS2 snore events from hose movement/vibration so I'd consider it likely safe to disregard this data if others report to you of no snoring.

VS2 can be flagged for many different reasons ranging from actual snores to other sounds, including your snoring dog or the tube dragging across the edge of the night stand. VS2 is not used to increase pressure in the Philips auto algorithm, but VS is. If you are recording a lot of VS then pressure will rise fairly quickly, and that is probably real snoring. The only way to know for sure would be t use some kind of sleep app. It's conceivable bruxism might be flagged as VS2, but it would help to see a chart to identify why pressure is rising. We often advise that VS2 can be turned off. AS far as your pressure goes, you can limit the maximum pressure. Your profile only shows a CPAP pressure of 10.
