Sleep apnea does cause brain damage, but it's reversible once treatment is started. E.g. this study [1] shows that the reversal takes up to 12 months.

Have you scheduled a sleep study? Where are we with getting tested for sleep apnea?

PS I hope you are well and not in the floods?
Thank you,

RE: Is this sleep apnea? Im new.
Im back with results of sleep study at ENT.

I got a AHI 7.8, Apnoa 18 and 4 Hyponoa, ma duration of a apnoa 94s average 19,9 and max duration of hyponoe 21s average 15s.

However in the night, i always change my sleep positions often.

ENT doc said that the value is still very good, however i have servere symptoms of brain fog, axenity, teeth pressuring, etc.

On Thrustday, i have my appointment with TMJ dentist, they do offer more reliable WatchPAT study, which i will take it again.

What should I do? May i will get a APAP from Resmed soon, there was no Centrals (except only one), only OSA.

Ask about taking a Type 2 home sleep test vs a type 3 such as WatchPAT.

Check out SleepTest #1

it was taken using SOMNOscreen, which it measured my SPO2, and my airflow and my breathing effort. However it doesnt record sleep stages or asoursals. I think it is Type 3.

On Trusday i will getting WatchPAT.

edit: i did not sleep the first 1-2 hours of monitoring, so the AHI may be wrong low. In total, i slept 8 hours with the device.

So i confused why the ENT doc said the values are good.
