I see that I am not the only one that has this very specific phobia.
Almost every night, I push the button on my cpap machine to flush out the line a few times because I have this phobia that a spider (or bug of some sort) is hiding in the tubing and will crawl up my nose once the machine starts.

Now and then a hair or something fluffy will blow against my nose and totally freak me out. I have actually ripped my mask off my face in the middle of the night. One of the reasons I prefer not to use the full face mask. lol

Been there, done that. I like to let my CPAP run for a few seconds just to force all the critters out first.

well thanks very much...................NOT
I had not even considered this happening, but now that it has been brought up...I will check every night as I have a dreadful fear of spiders, I just hope that the pressure is enough to push any creepy crawlers through..Oh-jeez

I dont worry about spiders much except for maybe the occasional brown recluse or scorpion getting in my shoes.
The dust bunnies drive me nuts though. Get all set up, mask on & sealed, lie down turn out lights.....then....AAAAAAGH!!!
A teensy little dust speck starts tickling my nose and WONT STOP!!

If you worry about things getting in your hoses & stuff make some hose plugs like I did out of PVC / CPVC plumbing items from the hardware store.

Also you can get a gun cleaning cable and run a mop through the hose..(Otis Technologies) Nothing will survive that!

I haven't read this book yet. I read 'John Dies at the End.' I liked the book but the movie that came out really ruined it. It just didn't translate to film well. Anyway...

Be sure to see 'Arachnophobia' with John Goodman as "The Exterminator" Smile Should be required watching for all college students.
(How else will they ever turn out normal?)

It's OK. The spiders are all natural and organic.
Get the free SleepyHead software here.
Useful links.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.
