You might have a wrong mask setting on, if its a full face mask and you're using nasal, the flow will be too little for the machine to determine that the mask is taken off.

Even if you have auto-Smart activated, it seems that many masks won't work with it. Only my Airfit P10 works the auto shut-off on my Resmed machine.
