I have been riding for over 45 years, being on my motorcycles has allowed me to avoid far more accidents than I've ever had on them ( handy to have the comparatively small size and agility to fit through gaps when some idiot in a car comes across in front of you and then props in the middle of the road.. a quick flick and I'm passing behind safely, in my car I'd be straight in to the side of the idiot.
I've been hit more often in my cars and trucks, even when stationary, than I've had bike accidents ( how does someone not see an 18 tonne truck that is half the size of a house and painted white??
