Leak rate numbers and interpretation

Leak rate numbers and interpretation
Sleepyhead statistics show:

Average leak rate
90% leak rate
% of time above Leak Rate threshold

What do they actually represent?

I have approx 60 days of data that show:
Average leak rate = 1.25
90% leak rate = 5.00
% of time above Leak Rate threshold 0.02%

I use nasal pillows and I commonly have small leaks. I know the vent allows a measured leak rate.

My graphs show:
Leak Rate -
Min: 0.00
Med: 0.00
95%: 8.00
Max: 25.00

OK, thanks, makes sense. But what's the "Leak Rate Threshold" and is spending 0.02% of my night above it a good or bad thing?

What about the numbers themselves? Is 5 a good or bad number for 90% leak rate? What about 1.25 for the average?

PR machine report total leak, but I assume these are intentional leak numbers,
If that's the case, then the numbers are pretty good and of no concern. Probably to do with adjusting mask seal or perhaps a bit mouth leak, chinstrap might helps minimize mouth leak. You'll always going to get some intentional leak, not feasible to get zero leak all the time, nothing to worry about as long as leak isn't disrupting sleep

For ResMed machines, 24 L/m is the intentional leak threshold, above that for a brief period is not the end of the world, unless if goes on for long duration, then neither the therapy is effective or the data is accurate
